The Sage ACT! Software, simply known as ACT!, is a type of customer relationship management software. Customer relationship management applications are pieces of software that allows businesses to store, organize, and retrieve customer and client information. This enables businesses to automate and streamline their workflows and increase their productivity.

An appropriate CRM software package can be a useful tool for a business, whether small or large. Particularly, sales and technical support departments will benefit from the automation and efficiency that the software can provide. Modern CRM applications are now Internet–based, meaning, there is no need to install a piece of software to a workstation. Others are loaded into a database where multiple computers over the network can access it at the same time.

ACT! is a piece of software developed by Sage used to keep track of client, customer and prospect information details in a single database that can be shared by many users. Since its debut, it has long been a favorite of many companies for contact and customer relationship management. Businesses also use the software for sales and marketing, and technical and customer support.

The software was launched in 1986 in a disk operating system (DOS) environment. The first Windows version was launched in 1993 and 12 subsequent versions have been released since. ACT CRM also has special versions for real estate agents and financial personnel. This aids real estate agents, for instance, in keeping in contact with their clients at all stages of the home buying procedure.

The ACT CRM software also integrates with applications, allowing contact lists and other information to be exported and imported into the software. This is valuable for cross–platform compatibility, letting you access your information whether from a personal computer (PC) or a smartphone instantaneously. Training for this software can be done either onsite or online.

ACT training online is best suited for individuals who work from satellite offices or from remote locations that prevent them from being present at onsite sessions. Advantages of online training include an opportunity to schedule the training at your own convenience and the ability to work from your home or office. There are plenty of online training sites on the web. It is up to you to do the necessary research and choose carefully which program to enroll in.
